PWW, to allot of people this is home, to so many more, it's the very "pinnacle" of professional wrestling. To me, this is where my big brother, Chris "Maniac" Diamond made a name for himself. I'm sure the vets remember Chris, former tag champ, TV champ, multi US and World Champ. He had wars with Adultman, Tyrant and Abraxas, and in the end he left PWW the way he came in, as a joke, when Tyrant put him down for the last time. To me, PWW is where Chris became the man he is today, an egotistical, power hungry, piece of crap that is slowly rotting away behind a desk at some other promotion, making matches instead of being in them, mostly because I re-injured his already fragile neck.
Before me, the director snaps his fingers, trying to get my attentioning and I'm ready to make my introduction to PWW.
"I am The Xtreme American Dream, Rob Diamond, and I have come to PWW for one simple reason, to make my dreams come true by any means necessary."
I smile and cross my arms.
"Simple enough, right? Not exactly. Every promotion all over the world is filled with new and interesting challenges, men you've never heard of, never faced come crawling out of the wood work to destroy you, and that's exactly what I'm seeing here. Men like Raymond Clark, who were part of the old PWW have come back, hoping to finally break the stigma of being a walking, talking joke. Then we have men like Seth Drabble, who like myself, is related to a PWW legend in Davey Boone. But Seth and I have crossed paths in another promotion, we never wrestled each other, but I did watch, and laughed backstage, as he was unceremoniously released from that company. Then theres jack offs like this General guy. Dude looks like he's gonna drop dead in the center of the ring in his first match. Sup grandpa."
I'm feeling a little arrogant today, but this is a new promotion for me and I want these guys to know what I'm all about.
"Everywhere I go I see people wasting away, riding the coat tails of someone else's success, using their names or their history to get where their going, doing the least amount of real work possible but still expecting the great reward. Not me, I'm all about work, determination and drive. I want to be the very best. I want to win the World Title. I want to be the legend PWW deserves and not the jokes it has in it's hall of fame. People like the Wrestler, the Wandering Smurf, Adultman and... Ethanol do not belong in the hall of fame. They don't know what it means to work for something, they only know how to be good enough. Good enough to win world titles, but never great enough to keep them. People like them, they make me sick to my stomach, and it's people like them that I will put down first."
The director is signing to me that my time is almost up.
"I'll leave you with this, America was founded on the fact that each of us not only deserves the best life possible, but that each of us has to EARN those life's. We have to fight for them, we have to bleed for them, and sometimes, we have to kill for them. Our ancestors fought a revolution so that we would know true freedom and opportunity. Thats what brought me here, the freedom to break away and the opportunity to show all of you what one Xtreme American Dream can do to the world."
I reach forward with my right hand and palm the camera, sending the scene to black and ending my first PWW promo.
